Anup Anthony, Head Coach

Anup Anthony brings 25 plus years of sporting experience to BGF. As a former professional player and AIFF-licensed coach, Anup is passionate about nurturing talent and helping young players reach their full potential.

He is an accomplished sportsman and a respected figure in the Indian Customs and CGST Bengaluru. With over a decade of experience representing Karnataka and national teams in Hockey for Customs, he has made a prominent mark in the Indian Hockey and Football sporting community.

With a background in youth development and a keen eye for talent, Mr. Anup plays a crucial role in shaping the future stars of BGF. His dedication to player development and innovative training methods makes him a valuable asset to our coaching team.

Charles D’Souza, Coach

Mr. Charles D’Souza is a national champion in Hockey, representing Karnataka, and has won the All-India University championship twice. Adept in both attack and defence, he has represented Karnataka State at the National level for over a decade, showcasing his skills and leadership abilities on the field.

Apart from Hockey, Mr. Charles D’Souza has also represented the Indian Customs teams for over a decade. His experience and passion for sports have helped him gain valuable insights into the world of sports, enabling him to be a licensed football coach, handling the BGF Sporting Club in Bengaluru. With his sheer talent and dedication to sports, Mr. Charles D’Souza is an inspiration to all the aspiring sportsmen, and a true representative of the sporting spirit.

Mr. Anthony S.L., Coach

Dr. Anthony.S.L has represented Karnataka in various prestigious football tournaments and has also made a mark in athletics by representing India in international events and securing eight international medals. He has an impressive sports background, having represented Karnataka in Senior Nationals, Santhosh Trophy’s, Federation Cup, and Rovers Cup in football.

He also represented India in Four Asian Masters Athletic Meet and Two World Championships in various track and field events such Long Jump, and Relay. He secured 8 international medals, holds a Guinness World Record as a Music Director in Konkani Niranthari. He is currently serving as the Chairman of Bangalore District Football Association and Governing Board Member of Karnataka State Football Association.

BGF sporting club offers a high-quality training program for kids, with very experienced and professional coaches. They teach the kids not only the skills and techniques of the game, but also the values and attitudes that are essential for success.The BGF club also provides a variety of ground activities that help the kids develop their confidence, balance, strength, and focus. My son has improved a lot in his physical and mental abilities, and he enjoys playing with his teammates and friends. He has also learned to respect the rules, the opponents, and the referees, and to cope with wins and losses.We are very happy to be part of the BGF sporting club, and we appreciate the efforts and dedication of the coaches. The club is more than just a place to play football, it is a community that supports and encourages the kids to pursue their dreams. I highly recommend the BGF sporting club to anyone who is looking for a positive and rewarding experience for their children.
